NSW: Govt moves to safeguard proposed transport corridors =2
Opposition Leader Peter Debnam said the government was just rehashing old announcements
without taking any action.
The north-west and south-west rail links had first been raised in March 2002 and almost
four years later no progress had been made, Mr Debnam said.
"How many times can they actually reannounce the north-west rail link and the south-west
rail link and actually do nothing about it?" he told reporters in Sydney today.
"All they're actually doing is saying that some time in the future they're going to
reserve those corridors. I think if you look at the detail they haven't even done it yet."
