QLD: Skateboarder in hospital

A young boy suffered head injuries when he lost control of his skateboard in the south
west Queensland town of Stanthorpe yesterday.

An RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter spokesman says nine-year-old JORDAN BROWNING was
flown to Brisbane's Mater Children's Hospital and admitted to intensive care.

He's now in a stable condition, and is expected to be released from hospital tomorrow.



His mother HAZEL says JORDAN was trying out Stanthorpe's new skateboard rink when the
accident occurred.

She says JORDAN was wearing a helmet, but it became dislodged.
